Finishing FLW American Fishing Series I placed 29th in the over all standings. I am excited to be in the top 30 of 200 exceptional anglers. I will be headed to Wheeler Lake in Alabama in November for the invitational. I am looking forward to the 2011 season. It seems like a short year with the changes to our schedule fishing three tournaments instead of four. Don’t forget if your looking for a guide on Lake Fork give me a shout. Always fishin……..
Hot on Fork
The temperatures are hot and so is the bass fishing on Lake Fork. I have a few dates left in August for some guide trips. If you want to hang a big one now is the time to book shoot me an email at www.lakeforkpremierguideservice.com and lets go fishing!
Erie was Erie
I have to say I am in no way sorry that the Central Division on Detroit River is over. Lake Erie is just not a fishery I have ever had much success at. I had my hopes that my second visit would turn out much different but as the old saying goes "It was what it was". I can say that I prepped ...
I read an article in a publication about Professional Anglers. I found them interesting and thought I would pass them on….
They cast more than a 3000 times a day, Compare that to a big-league baseball pitcher who may throw 100 pitches a game or a golfer hitting 75 shots in a round. In a typical day of competition we burn 3600 calories the same as one would if they 23 miles at a pace of 12 min a mile. Most sport figures are on the court or field for two or three maybe Four hours ,Pro Bass anglers are on the water for Nine straight hours during competition.
And they say its not work
Always fishin………….
I fished Lake Falcon and broke my personal bag weight at 32.8 pounds. I had a blast and placed 13th. With that weight and the 13th place that tells you Lake Falcon was on fire with big bass. I was just thrilled to fish with out a cold front blowing in and rain. With the wetter winter , it seems that every tournament I have fished I have been rained on.
If anyone is looking for a way to spend a cold rainy day, make sure you check out the 2010 Dallas International Boat Show Feb.5- Feb 14
I worked the Diamond Sport Marine Ranger booth this past weekend. I can say the economy may not be great but the show of people looking at the new 2010 models were not lacking. I hope everyone stops by and checks out a Ranger Boat. If you stop by tell the Diamond Sports guys I sent you
FLW American Fishing Series is the old FLW Stren tournament trail. It is hard for me to get use to that name but here it first time in my blog. The first tournament was held on January 7-10 2010. I had no idea of the cold and windy conditions that would be in store for all anglers in this tournament. After a hard practice and a very cold start to the tournament I finished 32nd. I am pleased with the finish. Of course you always look back , but this tournament I can say I did my best and brought my boat back in one piece. I would like to congratulate Micheal Yoder for his win on Lake Falcon and Keith Combs for his impressive bag of 41-1 ( The now heaviest bag in FLW history). I will be on Lake Sam Rayburn Feb. 4-6 2010. for the next FLW tournament.
I would like to say with the spawn just around the corner if your not running a Power Pole it is time to check in to one. The silent secure swift nature will land more fish in your boat that you could ever imagine. Please feel free to email me if I can help you answer any questions about Power Pole. As Always……always fishing

Merry Christmas!!!
Cody and Heather
It has been a while since I posted. I rolled into Waco,Texas the day after the Toledo Bend tournament and was in my deer blind for opening day of bow season. I have been in a blind somewhere in Texas everyday since. I have been working on the up coming tournament season schedule and sponsorships for the 2010 season. I am excited about the opportunities that have presented themselves to me this coming season. I will say that I will be making some sponsorship announcements in late December. As much as I love the hunting, I am missing being on the water everyday. I have found though that time off from the water only makes me more thankful and more driven for the sport I am so privelege to be involved in.
I hope that everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. as always…always fishin
