Ready to make a run on Kentucky Lake.

I know that a lot of anglers think about safety when in their boat. They have their life jackets kill switches attached but do you ever think about your eyes? These face shields will not only protect your eyes from bugs and flying debris but they save you from the rain. I may look like Hannabal but hey it works.

Fishing is Great here. I am fishing in about 3-5 foot. I have been catching them on deep diving crank baits. I have been carolina rigging some in about 10-14 ft.
They have not moved up on beds yet. I caught some small mouth on Shaky Heads.
I am staying at the Moors Resort and Marina. They have a live cam so you can check that out at moorsresort.com
I will keep you updated as I can. I will be posting some video when I get back so as always “Keep Fishing”.

Flash Back…. Northern Tour ….
This is where I started. It was a decision I really did not get at the time. They said go North young man, if you can make it up there you can make it anywhere.
Thats what happened three years ago. My team said go as a co-angler and run the North B.A.S.S.. Why because the big guys came from there. I asked myself OK than why am I going? My parents said because if you can make it there you can do it anywhere. OK? Well I did,I made the cut four out of five times (as a co-angler). The next year I went PRO because I fished with guys like Boyd Duckett, James Charlesworth. You see I fished the last year of the B.A.S.S Northern Opens. I gained so much knowledge on that tour, and with the advice of some of the biggest names out there I went for it.
Well here I am this year as a pro on FLW Stren Central Division.
When you go back to your beginning, its scary. You have the boat ,your in charge, you find the fish, you catch the fish, you wonder if you can really do any of it.And than you step up on the deck and cast and there it is the first fish on the lake you started on three years ago. This time I found them.
This is one of those days I ask myself “How can I be so Lucky to Fish for A Living.”:)

Well If you have to think about it you haven’t. I am wrapped.
I hope that any one with a new boat can feel the pain when the first scratch goes on her. I just couldn’t do it this time. I contacted Blue Sky Graphics and they wrapped my boat and believe it or not my dually. That’s a sponsorship.
The length of time it took I missed out on the 1st B.A.S.S. Open on Red River. I am off to Kentucky.

Where have I been?
OK I admit it I am addicted to bed fishing. Always have been. I have found myself sitting on a bed catching a buck bass just so I can get the female to bite for hours. I think its the challenge, I like so much. You have to out wit that female, aggravate her so she will strike. After two weeks looking and catching my fair share the fun is over. Back to work.
I put my fifth wheel on Lake Fork just for the purpose of always going home to the place where the big bass live. I said before, that even when I am not on tournaments I am on the water every day, that is not a lie. I love spawn time and bed fishing more than I do any other time of year. It is an addiction I can never break. I loved it when I was younger. I remember when I couldn’t wait for the bell to ring at school just to go fish beds on Lake Waco .Now I am able to chase the biggest bass on the best Large-mouth Bass Lake in Texas.
All good things must come to an end and off on the road I go again. Next stop Red River ,Louisiana.
First stop on the B.A.S.S. Central Tour.
