I have been on Table Rock in Branson, Mo for about 2 weeks now. I went straight from the Lake of the Ozarks to Table Rock.I have been scouting the lake and fishing with much success. I have been half way across thee United States in my two years as a Professional Angler and never have I gone site seeing. I normally go straight to the lake where the tournament is held and start fishing. Heather on the other hand will site see while I am on the water. Today (with Heathers encouragement) I left the water and off we went to Branson. At first my mind was thinking of what I might be missing on the Table Rock but after visiting Ripleys Believe It or Not ,The Wax Museum, Playing a couple of rounds of Putt-Putt with Heather I can tell you I need to get out more. I think that getting off the water and doing something different for a day is good. We all need that break. I am a fisherman, it is in my heart and soul. I find it difficult to distance myself from the game. Even when I rest it seems my mind runs of how and where the Bass are biting. Thinking of sponsor calls, emails and all the other daily things that come with this sport. Today I feel like a tourist just site seeing around a new town. I don’t say this often but it felt good to be on land for a day just enjoying life and being with Heather. Notice the sign behind us… Life is an Adventure Enjoy It……….Always Fishin

Erie was Erie
I have to say I am in no way sorry that the Central Division on Detroit River is over. Lake Erie is just not a fishery I have ever had much success at. I had my hopes that my second visit would turn out much different but as the old saying goes "It was what it was". I can say that I prepped ...

As I wrote in my last blog ,the season is finished and how time flew this year. I was out on Table Rock the other day and I had a minute to just sit and think back on the last year. It was just great all of it. From the snow storm on the first Central in Arkansas on Norfolk Lake to Lake Falcon fishing for biggest large mouths out there. I am sitting in my Ranger, with it all decked out, with all the baits a person could want and I just feel Lucky. Lucky to be here, Lucky to Live My Dream. Lucky to have the person I love doing it with me and Lucky to have the support that I have. Now I am not a mushy guy but after the highs, the lows ,and the in betweens of a year packed with it all. You would have to be dead not to just sit and look back with a smile. Always Fishin……..
Well My 2008 season finished for me on the last Stren Central Division on Lake of the Ozarks. What a year!! I feel good about both of the Stren Divisions that I fished. Qualifying through the Texas Division for the Stren Championship for the second year in a row.Missing qualifying through the Central Division by 7 places and finishing 47 overall for that division.
Lake of Ozarks was just a great fishery. I weighed in more than 27 lbs overall. I finished on Lake of the Ozark in 31 st place getting a check and a good feeling to have this year behind me. I am headed to Table Rock for the One Million Dollar Stren Championship. As Always Always Fishin……….
